Printed in Orvieto by Antonio Colaldi and Ventura Aquilini in 1598, dedicated to the Most Illustrious Signor Pietro Aldobrandini (Cardinal).
Quarter-folio volume, with contemporary vellum binding reinforced with leather. The first page bears the papal coat of arms of the Aldobrandini family, a noble emblem adopted by Pope Clement VIII.
This is a treatise discussing the training, care, and preservation of horses, as well as methods for improving horse breeds. Rare edition, with decorative initials, headpieces, and end-of-section ornaments.
The volume is in good condition, with minor wormholes that do not affect the printed text.
