Gliubich Casa d’Aste was founded by Gianluca Gliubich, a second generation antiquarian. Gianluca made the inference of branching out from a classic Antique’s gallery into a conceptually and structurally modern auction house in order to, overcome the physical barriers of the gallery thanks to the vast potential offered by the internet.
The project was initially disclosed to a close circle of friends, whose shared love and passion for art would lead them to undertake the venture together.
Gianluca has always been surrounded by beauty, alternating the time spent at his paternal Grandfather’s gallery with long trips to the USA, Africa, Russia and Europe, immerging himself in the cultures and traditions of faraway places.
At the start of 2021, all of the above, combined with an ample experience of and a love for the grande bellezza, alongside 30 years spent at art fairs and markets, inspired him to fulfill his dream of establishing an auction house, the first in the region of Abruzzo.
Such an ambitious project inevitably required a first-class location to do justice to and best enhance the objects destined to be shown there. The building of Palazzo Cipolloni Cannella with its splendid frescoed halls that look upon the Duomo in the very heart of L’Aquila, exceeds all expectations.
