Printed in Venice by Antonio Bariletti and Brothers, at the sign of the Mondo, 1630. First edition published in 1624.

Folio volume, bound in rigid vellum with raised bands on the spine. The title page features a magnificent engraving depicting an architectural scene with Minerva, Muses, war machines, and other allegorical figures. The second page bears a portrait of the author at age 44, framed by an elaborate border of putti and war emblems.

The volume is a treatise presenting the pinnacle of 17th-century military knowledge and architecture, based on Tensini’s personal experience. It includes exceptional illustrations by Odoardo Fialetti (1573–1638), Italian painter and engraver who collaborated with Tintoretto. Decorative initials and engravings larger than the page size are also present.

Volume in excellent condition, with only minor humidity stains on a few pages.
