Dedicated to Ferdinand IV, King of Hungary and Bohemia.
Fully engraved frontispiece depicting an eagle towering over two grooms and horses. A printer’s device appears on the third page and at the end of each section. The book is complete with all full-page engravings, elegant decorative initials, and woodcut tailpieces.
The treatise deals with methods for training horses and with exercises for their education. The work, dedicated to the King of Hungary, was written by Count Galiberti, colonel and riding master.
Some humidity staining and watermarks are present, along with small restorations to the margins of a few pages. Rigid leather boards with raised spine bands.
