Description:
Following the title page, the work opens with a fine copper engraving reproducing the title. Decorative initials and headpieces throughout. The treatise focuses on the training and service of cavalry, including lancers, arquebusiers, and cuirassiers, and is richly illustrated with full-page engravings. Notably, Figures IX and X are complete but have a tear that can be repaired; page 217 is detached from the volume but present.
Condition: Acceptable; some browned pages and minor wormholes affecting text or illustrations.
Significance: A rare early 17th-century manual on cavalry tactics and training, combining textual instruction with detailed illustrative plates.
