Pubblicazione per le Nozze Rangoni-Rangoni (Modena, 1817)

Rare and refined commemorative publication, printed in Modena in 1817 by the press of G. Vincenzi e Comp. The volume celebrates the “faustissime nozze” (most fortunate marriage) between two members of the highest Modenese aristocracy: the Noble Lady Marchesa Isabella Rangoni and the Noble Gentleman Marchese Bonifazio Rangoni, the latter honored with the title of Chamberlain of His Imperial and Apostolic Royal Majesty (S.M.R.I.A.).

The work represents a classic example of the 19th-century epithalamium, a type of publication of great interest for the study of costume, genealogy, and local literature. These editions, often produced in limited runs for the restricted circle of the nobility, collected poetic compositions, odes, or unpublished historical essays in tribute to the newlyweds.
