Printed in Naples in 1842 by Tipografia e Calcografia Batelli e Comp.

Half-folio volume, bound in rigid vellum, with the title and author on a red background in gold lettering. The volume is richly illustrated, with some plates larger than the text. It appears to be a third edition, following two earlier editions printed in Florence in 1837 and 1838.

The work is complete and provides an extensive treatment of hippology, with many of the engravings hand-colored, including the one beneath the title on the first page.
