Half-folio manuscript, bound in nineteenth-century morocco leather (not original), with raised bands; the back cover is detached from the volume.

The manuscript (Book One) deals with well-trained horses, how to select foals, which horses to buy, and how to feed them. The volume is complete with all its pages and contains some drawings within the text. At the end of page 226, there are several blank pages, with a handwritten note, presumably by a former owner, after which the text resumes and continues to the end as indicated in the book’s index.

The manuscript is known, but no other copies have been traced in archives or libraries.
