Quarter-folio volume, contemporary binding, partially detached; leaves still with deckle edges, some light humidity stains on a few pages, overall in good condition. Full-page engraving on the title page, woodcuts at the end of each section. Folding plates include a horse skeleton on page 22 and bridles on page 252.

Complete work, divided into four parts, each with three chapters, intended to teach young riders how to train horses safely and easily. The author had previously published Il Cavallo Perfetto forty years earlier. The volume is in good state of preservation.
